⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We came to Grillsmith in Carrollwood for my mom’s 69th birthday—her one request? Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Not only did they have it (which is surprisingly hard to find!), but it was easily one of the best we’ve ever had. Warm, nostalgic, and elevated in the best way with vanilla ice cream, roasted pineapple, and a caramel drizzle that made the whole dish sing. But the cake was just the cherry on top of an absolutely incredible meal. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcomed and cared for—it felt like dining with friends. Every dish was perfectly cooked and beautifully plated. We had the ribs (fall-off-the-bone tender and glazed to perfection), the shrimp-topped market white fish with green beans and rice (flavorful and fresh), and every bite tasted like it was crafted with intention. This was our first time at Grillsmith, but definitely not our last. Carrollwood is their largest location, and it shows—they’ve nailed the atmosphere, the hospitality, and most importantly, the food. A huge thank you to the team for making my mom’s birthday so special. You’ve got lifelong fans in us!
Can't lose coming to this superb establishment! I'm giving 5 Stars all around. Great freindly staff and we come no less than once a month. We make sure we get a high-top table in the bar area and , if she's working, we will take one that Jerma will be serving. Jerma is our favorite throughout Tampa Bay - keep up the outstanding & most friendly & personable service Jerma!
While I tend to give 4 stars most good places, because I often feel there's room for improvement, I had to do a full five today. We dined on the patio with our puppy. She's really the one that voted 5 stars. The service from our server Tony P was flawless, timely and attentive. We had to have the Curry Pumpkin Crab bisque. It's one of our favorites. I tried a new-to-me meal, the Coca-Cola ribs. I highly recommend these. Marinated in Coca-Cola, then slow roasted and covered in a sweet and tangy sauce with just the right amount of bite to it. Other favorites here are the wild mushroom meatloaf, the Voodoo shrimp and the seasonal desserts, like the current Strawberry Shortcake with fresh Chantilly whipped cream. Thanks to manager Allison, who tipped us off that the patio dining is dog friendly. Our puppy made several new friends. We'll be back again soon.
We really really really liked this place. We have been to others, but this one just hit different. Everything about this visit was incredible. Kudos to management, you guys have a great thing going here. My favorite entree was the Chicken Milanese. It's unbelievable! 🔥
Excellent food and service! We went before the Bucs 430 game and couldn't have picked a better place. The brunch selection was fantastic and my ribs and my son's breakfast burrito were amazing. Save room for dessert because the pineapple upsidedown cake and bannanas fosters sundae was unbelievable. We will be back.
Our server Danielle made the 10/10 experience go to 100!!! She was perfect. The most amazing service we have had in a long time in FL. The food was great but the service is what made us want to come back to Grill Smith. Thanks again and wishing her nothing but the best. When we go back we will be sure to ask for her. I typically do not like going out for dinner on Mother's Day, but this year my family talked me into it, they had different plans for me! We arrived at GrillSmith the Carrollwood location with NO reservations, NO wait, we were seated upon entry, YES on Mother's Day. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our waiter "REDDY", was ready 😃 he was simply amazing!!! The food was cooked to a perfection, it was delicious. Allison Darby and her team were awesome. We are planning our next Dinner outing. Rob was great. I got the Cajun dish with shrimp, sausage and chicken. It was super tasty, had plenty of protein and plenty of sauce. Bella Brava should take note of this. This dish will be my go to every time I visit.
Came here to celebrate my birthday and wr had Tony as our waiter. I ordered tbe Argentina steak or something. The service was amazing. Tony was personable, knowledgeable and attentive. The atmosphere was dim, calm and comfortable. The food was amazing. I mean one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Would absolutely return!
They've been redeemed. I have the big plate and the pics, but I served myself on my app plate because that's realistically the amount I'm going to eat while on a glp1. Is it a little less done than mid rare? Yes. Did I also contemplate trying steak tartare earlier? Yes. The flavor on and in the steak is amazing. Is the garlic in the spinach burnt and makes everything bitter? Yes. But my only feedback is don't burn your garlic because it makes it bitter. I sat at the bar. My bartender, Zoey, was amazing. He's running orders, serving food to a full bar he is making everyone else's drinks to run to their tables. He's making sure everyone at the bar is taken care of too, and plugging his wife's nail business and insta by wearing her nails and they're a conversation piece but he's still doing everything all at once while he proudly tells you about how his wife is a talented nail tech and artist. His nails just look so good that it's natural to want to ask him how and who. The flavor is amazing on the food. They have enchanting and skilled staff. I kinda get not wanting to cook beyond a certain doneness as the chef. I'm not certain that the chef didn't just rebel against me ordering a NY Strip before when the ribeye was right there and tasty? Idk. I'll definitely be back here. I didn't tell anyone that the garlic in the spinach was burnt and I didn't give them a chance to "fix" it. I still loved it all. Excellent value for a more upscale steak. This place dry ages for 45 days more upscale places start at a significantly higher price point to age one additional month for the next step up in the dry aging process is putting you at a $100+ steak when there is maybe not a 2x markup on the flavor difference. I adore a steak from a place that has a butcher and connections to the farms and you'll get that here, but maybe not with everything perfect. Avoid putting the burnt garlic in your mouth.
